Meet the Educators

I am an independent stylist and an independent contract educator.  Early in my career, I had two educators who took me under their wings, and their passion to share became my passion as well.  I trained with the education teams of Redken and Tocco Magico, as well as educated for Bumble and Bumble, before finding a home with the John Paul Mitchell Systems family 16 years ago.  Even with my affiliation to JPMS, I continued to educate myself with other brands and techniques.  Before the COVID-19 pandemic, I began to work on a curriculum that blended the different techniques and concepts that I had learned along the way to create classes and workshops that were salon-reality, utilizing basics often forgotten, but most importantly, geared for every stylist, experienced or not.  As I shared this curriculum in private one-on-one tutoring sessions, I found the flaws and tweaked them. 
Being a stylist for over 20 years, I've been a part of the change from hands-on classes and print publications to social media and 50-second reels.  As social media continued to grow, I’ve experienced a decline in one-on-one interactions, participation in hands-on training, and a lack of true knowledge of this industry.  Skills and knowledge that can only be experienced through peer communications.  With a background in psychology, my true passion is to help others become their best selves, hence, I love to share my knowledge and experience with my peers.  So, I have teamed with Kristine of Fedora Lounge in our joint venture, Fedora’s Artistic Beauty Systems.  We have custom-created a curriculum of lectures and hands-on workshops for artists of all levels to bring their skills to new heights.
