This 3-hour workshop has an interactive lecture format to help attendees discover more about themselves as individuals and as professionals. It covers topics such as individual and professional interests, professionalism, consultations, and tricks of the trade. Haircutting Theory

Creating a new look is exciting, but knowing the “Shear Principles” of cutting is key to the perfect service. In this three-hour lecture class, attendees will learn the concepts and rules of each cutting technique. This workshop will aid in identifying any haircut down to length, shape, and technique, along with understanding when to implement them and how.

Haircutting Techniques

Knowing the why behind each cutting technique is the first step to excellence. The next step is applying the knowledge. In this three-hour hands-on class, attendees will implement multiple techniques to create various looks. These techniques are key to “Making the Cut” flawless, fashion-forward, and memorable.

Short Haircuts

Short haircuts can be challenging. No styling will be enough to hide imperfections. We at F.A.B. understand the struggle and feel short haircutting deserves a class of its own. This three-hour hands-on workshop will review various short haircutting techniques and provide each attendee with the skills and confidence needed for “Taking Short Cuts” behind the chair to the next level

Men’s Haircutting

We’re excited to see men’s haircuts revisiting vintage styles. Whether it’s a little off the top, long and undone, or business in the front/party in the back, executing men’s cuts is an art. In this three-hour hands-on workshop attendees will master scissor-over-comb, and undercutting, among other techniques to provide a timely and precise service for the “Mane Man”

Color Theory

Why do some guests pull red? Why does one level 5 look different than another? The “Concepts of Color” class is a three-hour lecture that breaks color down by primary colors, molecular structure, etc. learn the who’s, what’s, and when’s to hair color so the next color service you provide will be your best and they’ll be no need to stress.

Salon Reality Finishing Work

An artist is only as good as the tools they have to work with. This 3-hour Hands-On Workshop will give you the tools to discover and execute the art of “The Blow-Out.” This workshop will cover topics such as the foundations of product knowledge, the fundamentals of drying techniques, different styles, and tool work. Upon Completion of this workshop, you will leave with a styling kit, the knowledge to create multiple styles, and the technique to execute a flawless finish for any haircut or color service.

Formulation and Placement

Use the Concepts of color to “Craft Your Color” service. This three-hour hands-on workshop will challenge attendees to think outside of the box and craft a color formulation and placement to suit different guests’ needs. Whether fashion-forward or grey coverage, formulation and execution is key to retention.

Balayage, teasy, babylites, weaved or sliced… Highlights and lowlights bring any color service to “New Heights”. This three-hour hands-on workshop assists attendees in understanding when and where to execute different dimensional techniques, along with how to tone appropriately.
